[Video] Google Introduces The Future Of Search

I think most people would agree that Google is pretty darn good at helping you find what you’re looking for very quickly and accurately.

But it’s about to get even better.

In the video above, Google explains that “words aren’t just words, they refer to actual things in the real world. Words are not just random strings of characters.”

The way they are attempting to bridge the gap between words and actual things in the real world is what they are calling the “Knowledge Graph”.

Basically, the Knowledge Graph is going to gather more detailed and granular information about the things we’re searching. Think of the Knowledge Graph as “high-definition” search vs. what we currently have now as “standard-definition” search.

Google’s goal is to transition to a “knowledge engine” rather than just an “information engine.”
